I've lived down the street from this place for years and this was the first time I've eaten there. It reminded my mom of waffle houses from when she was a kid. The place gives off old fashion home cooking. My brother got the two egg breakfast and my mom and I shared the eggs Benedict as well as a plain waffle. Everything was so good! The workers were really nice and as soon as we were seated we were asked what we wanted to drink. The coffee was really good. This place really gave a warm vibe, like I was in someone's house rather than a restaurant! The waffle we got was fluffy and warm!

I am traveling from out of town. We have this place a try for a late breakfast. The service was excellent. The staff came by constantly asking to refill our drinks. The service was exceptional and friendly. The breakfast was okay. The hollandaise sauce was a little thick and a dark yellow in color . I had first thought it was melted jack cheese. i don't know if it was home made. My wife had the apple cinnamon waffles and they were very good. I wish I had ordered the waffles instead.
Wow, I wasn't expecting this gem. One of the guys who works for me recommended it, so we did a group outing of six here to eat. I forgot the gentleman who was our server, but he was blisteringly fast with his service. Bang soda or water empty, bang refilled. The food came out piping hot the portions were huge I had the Bacon platter, did I mention the portions were huge everybody at my table had the big belly walk after we left. Everything was seasoned well even the toast had a nice crunch and buttered amazingly. This will be a once-a-month visit because I was so full I didn't eat for the rest of the day.
Service is always quick and helpful! Great go to breakfast cafe that's really convenient! Their waffles are definitely tasty! Servings are decent in size and food is always hot. The price point is easy on the pocketbook too!
Came here on a Friday morning and got seated right away. This was my 2nd time visiting this location and the service was just as great as the first time :) I used to love going to the country waffles on H St. in Chula Vista when I was a kid, this location is a more modern vibe but still feels very welcoming. The menu prices have definitely increased since the last time I was here but the food was still amazing! Stop here if you want a good quality breakfast with a decent portion size. You will for sure take home leftovers.
Wow, really yummy! We stopped in just before noon on a Monday. Hubs wanted b'fast, I was leaning towards lunch. We each chose an item marked on their menu as "Award Winning". He went with the Croissant Breakfast Sandwich that has your choice of ham or turkey, eggs and cheese, layered in a fluffy croissant and accompanied with a choice of home style potatoes or fruit. He declared it a hearty YUM! I chose the Strawberry Spinach Salad with chicken, chopped pecans, blue cheese, avocado and red onion and raspberry vinaigrette. WOW!!! So much flavor and I can see how this dish would be award winning indeed. It came with 2 slices of Texas Toast and was fantastic! Service was friendly and efficient, checked in regularly and constantly moving about with smiles. The restaurant itself is a large, open space with plenty of seating we noticed a group of 11 when we walked in, and another group of 11 was seated just before we left. So large groups are welcome! Plenty of parking, but there are many businesses in this mall, so we did have to take a moment before we found an open spot. I would definitely return for this salad when in the area again. Cheers! Country Waffle is a lovely, cozy breakfast and lunch spot in Kearny Mesa. Their portions are large and the food is served piping hot. You've got to love the hot coffee which the attentive wait staff refill as often as you want. The three egg omelette is filled with ham, onions and peppers and is served along with country potatoes and 1/2 a waffle. We were sharing a breakfast so we asked for a full waffle and it was an ample breakfast. My Mom liked her senior breakfast which consisted of an egg and a large French toast.
